Program Eligibility Requirements
🏠 Who Qualifies for Elevare Housing?
Elevare Independent Living provides safe, structured shared housing for adults navigating financial hardship or major life transitions. To qualify for placement in one of our homes, residents must meet the following criteria:
✅ Basic Eligibility
Must be 18 years or older
Facing homelessness, housing insecurity, or exiting a difficult life situation (e.g., domestic violence, reentry, job loss)
Must have a reliable source of income, such as:
Social Security (SSI or SSDI)
VA Benefits
Fixed retirement income
Steady employment
Housing voucher or third-party payor
🧩 Functional Independence
Able to live safely without 24/7 supervision
Manages own medication, hygiene, and meals independently
Does not require personal care services or nursing support
🤝 Shared Living Expectations
Must be willing to live in a shared housing environment
Must be respectful, cooperative, and able to coexist peacefully with others
Must follow house rules, assigned chores, and quiet hours
Private or shared bedrooms available; all common spaces (kitchen, living room, bathrooms) are shared
🧾 Required Documents
Valid government-issued ID
Completed intake application
Emergency contact form
Must agree to house rules, safety policies, and peer-based accountability
🚫 Disqualifying Factors
History of violent or sexual offenses
Active substance abuse or unwillingness to comply with our drug/alcohol-free policy
Unwillingness to live in a shared environment or follow community rules
🧠 Mental & Emotional Stability
Residents must not pose a danger to themselves or others
Must be emotionally and behaviorally stable enough to participate in communal living
Willing to participate in a three-strike accountability policy
